bio

My name is Kai Horvit (they/them) and I grew up a nomad living all over South Florida, Charlottesville, VA, Natick, MA, and Cincinnati, OH!

In middle school I “accidentally” signed up for Musical Theater Camp instead of Sports Camp and I’ve been finding centerstage ever since! I received my BFA in Musical Theatre from the Cincinnati-Conservatory of Music (CCM).

Asides from performing, I enjoy taking yoga and fitness classes, binging books, documentaries or podcasts on mental health and true crime, and making a mess in the kitchen - you have to try my homemade cookies

Core Values

The performing and creative arts helped me navigate the intersections of my identity and mental health, so it is my goal to help others understand the beauty of their complex humanity through authentic representation in storytelling.

I bring a desire to listen, learn and understand both myself and others into each space I enter.

I engage the theater community to be more equitable, inclusive and accessible to folx of all backgrounds because I value community, empathy, and growth.
